Asian potstickers are sold in supermarkets under various names dumplings, Gyoza potstickers and Gyoza. I chose chicken filling as I am not big on pork, but replacing ground pork with the chicken in the recipe is still an option. Another option is to use small shrimp as the filling.
Potstickers can be steamed, boiled, pan fried or deep fried. For this recipe the potstickers were pan fried to achieve the signature browned and crisp bottom. It was a process but easy if you master the technique. However every bite was worth the effort.
Potstickers are very nutritious and can be eaten as a meal in itself or as a snack or even served as an appetizer.
The challenge with potstickers on the keto diet is the wrappers are high carb. I got the idea of the wrapper from a two ingredient keto fettuccine recipe that had a good texture that would be ideal for potstickers. You have to try this recipe as the taste and texture resembles potstickers prepared the traditional way.
