Traditionally pakoras are made with batter from chick pea flour and then deep fried. Onions potatoes, plantain, paneer, cauliflower or chili pepper are typical pakora ingredients. One cup of chick pea flour contains 43g of net carbs compared to 12g of net carbs in almond flour. This makes it difficult to fit the gram flour version into the macros of the keto diet, but swapping it out with almond flour makes it possible to enjoy this low carb treat. I decided to go with chicken for this keto chicken pakora recipe. If you are looking for a different ingredient version check out my keto onion pakora recipe or my keto Amritsari fish pakora.
